Coffee, I love you

“You know how you just wake up some mornings and you feel so refreshed and cheerful, you’re like, “I don’t even need coffee?” Yeah. Me either. And I don’t trust anyone who says they do. Uncaffeinated freaks.” Nanea Hoffman

Mhhhm, that first sip of coffee in the morning, nothing beats that moment. The caffeine pulsates through you, the fuel that keeps you going and wakes you up. Coffee gets me ready for the day and the one I get out of bed for. Waking up in the morning and hearing my coffee brewing is like music to my ears, and so I decided to dedicate a whole post to my love for coffee.

Reasons I love coffee:

The Aroma

Wake up and smell the coffee, the aroma of coffee grounds seeping into a pot and filling the air with fresh scent or simply opening a bag of grounded coffee beans.

Coffee brings people together

Nothing beats grabbing a cup of coffee and catching up with friends at a cafe or outside in your backyard..

Energy

Whether it’s a cup of coffee in the morning or a small espresso in the afternoon, I am always recharging with a cup of caffeinated goodness.

Taste

Nothing tastes better in the morning than a brewed cup of coffee with a splash of almond milk. For the quality blends I can drink it black, why add anything to perfection in a cup?

Warms you up

On those cold afternoons when it’s snowing outside, I like to curl up with a cup of coffee and enjoy a good book.

Coffee has been a part of my morning ritual for a couple years now and I don’t know what I would do without it. I enjoy quality over quantity even though during my University years I did have several cups a day to get me through projects and deadlines. But now I like to just enjoy a rich blend of coffee (lately I have been using New England Coffee and love it!) every morning and a cup in the afternoon after lunch.

What do you love about coffee?

  2. I'm a lover of the taste of coffee too! I don't think it needs any sugar, just a splash of milk. I've switched from almond milk to cashew milk. Almond milk used to really flavor the coffee. Cashew milk is super creamy, and the nutty flavor doesn't overpower the coffee. It's perfect!

  23. I am so completely obsessed with coffee. I had my first cup at 3! Cafe con leche is a powdered creamy coffee drink- it's made by Nestle I think. It's the most comforting coffee drink. Probably ever!!!
These days I have a soy iced coffee with two raw sugars.

I come from a european family though so the smell of coffee is something that I've been familiar with since I was little, in that respect I really love the aroma because it sort of smells like home...if that makes sense :)
